Nutritional Information:
The testing used for vitamin C content of the fruit in India was non-specific, resulting in a sort of "false positive," that was actually measuring a different component. There is very little vitamin C in the fruit. The original "finding" of vitamin C was reported in India in the 1930s. There have been a couple of recent reports, but most keep referring to the old studies, up to the 1960s. In the promos about amla, they discuss "high quality vitamin C" or "most stable vitamin C", neither of which makes any sense.
