Herbal Products
We sell a handful of highly effective herbal products that we ourselves use personally.
Maca (lepidium peruvianum), our flagship product, is a Peruvian highland root crop used for rejuvenating and energizing properties. We have used this for years and feel it is one of the few herbal products deserving of attention. The black cultivar is the strongest. We have also secured the lowest price for gelatinized maca on the internet!
Kanna (sceletium tortuosum), in our opinion, is the most profound natural anti-depressant. We sell an easy to use capsule product. Not only is it strong, the quantity per bottle is double what you normally get for the same price. That is why we carry a specific brand of Kanna.
Lower Back Spinal Pain Relief Tonic Tea, is a fortifying Chinese formula intended to remedy pain in the lower back. We order the traditional ingredients from high-quality herb houses and mix them right here at Skyfield Tropical. We feel it is a highly effective tea.
Tropical Fruit Trees
Most of the property is dedicated to rare tropical fruits! We aim to carry relatively uncommon species and varieties, for the collector.
Our online store is current, and will usually display what we have in stock at the moment. Please note, we can only ship trees within the continental United States.
Looking for a rare species? If you can't seem to find it, please contact us. We purchase from many growers and sellers and would be happy to help.
Vegetable / Medicinal Plants
Many of the plants we have acquired are eaten as a vegetable, such as Horseradish Tree (moringa oliefera), Katuk (sauropus androgynus) or Roselle (various leafy hibiscus species). These are some of the most nutritious foods on the planet! They are best eaten raw, and we highly recommend growing them!
We grow many unique medicinal plants and trees, and these will also be posted on the products page when available. Medicinal plants / trees include: 'Rifat' Kratom (mitragnya speciosa), Ashwagandha (withania somnifera), Lion's Ear (leonotis nepetifolia), and Betel Pepper (piper betel).
Cold-Hardy Tropicals
We will be growing a small collection of ultra-cold hardy tropical plants for the experimental northern gardener. In the state of Massachusetts, Skyfield Tropical conducted four years of hardiness trials for dozens of species, for the interest of having tropical and exotic plants in northern gardens.
We will provide our growing experiences for these cold-hardy species in the cold-hardy section of the encyclopedia.
